We are in a youth-oriented culture. Even retired people want to present an aura of vitality that can only be found in smooth skin and boundless energy.
At the same time, it’s experience that earns the massive paychecks, that commands the respect of our culture. If we rise too high too quickly, people ask what strings we pulled to get there.
God says there are no strings required. He’s willing to boost us to the highest strata in his workforce.
Here are two super-boost scriptures from the Word.
Super Boost No. 1:
God respects our youth. The Father doesn’t set an age requirement on being a successful Christian. If we believe in Jesus, daily live out our commitment to Christ, and share our faith with others, we have met the criteria of the Master.
1 Timothy 4:12 encourages today’s youth to be the best they can be.
“Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.”
Super Boost No. 2:
God promotes us on our level of trust in him. He wants to be our source and our satisfaction. It is from God that all good things flow, and when we trust in him, we shall never falter or stumble.
Proverbs 3:5-6 shows how we can demonstrate our trust in the Father.
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
It’s time to let our youth come to the forefront. It’s our moment for the young people of today to shine. Now is God’s time. Now is the day for the next generation to take the reins and lead the church into a new level of praise and worship unto God.
Youth is a very good thing. Ask God and see.
