The Flowing Waters of God

English Audio Version

Water has many unique qualities.

First, it can be cleaned over and over. No matter how dirty it gets, put it over a heat source, and it evaporates, leaving all the impurities behind.

Next, it combines easily with catalysts to release energy. We separate part of the water molecule, and we get safe, efficient power.

Finally, water can get almost anywhere. Uncontained, it will find its way through the soil, into rocks, and into the walls of our homes. It will seep through the smallest cracks in our shingles, into tiny nicks in glass, and under our floorboards.

Water does pretty much what it wants to do, and all we can do is try to get out of the way.

God is the same. He strides the breadth of the heavens, and his words are the thunder in the clouds. When he rains his power on us, our choices are to run or get wet.

Amos 5:24 reveals the awesome flowing waters of God.

“But let justice roll down like waters, and righteousness like an ever-flowing stream.”

God’s justice goes everywhere, releasing the power of God in waves of pulsating energy. His righteousness is an ever-flowing stream, cleansing us of impurities and leaving us clean and untainted.

We want to be caught up in the power of God. It will find us wherever we are, seep into every part of us, and we will be changed into a people like unto the Father.

It’s time to jump in and swim. It’s our moment to become drenched in God.

God is awesome in his glory, and his power carries us into a better future.
