You are not made for the darkness.
You are made to walk in the light.
Your moral compass points to the Father in heaven, and he is your guiding star.
Where do we find our power to walk after the example of Jesus?
Here are 3 Breakout Power Verses to tuck in your pocket, tape to your bathroom mirror, and put on your car’s sun visor.
Breakout Power Verse No. 1:
Hebrews 1:3 tells us, “He is the radiance of the glory of God and the exact imprint of his nature, and he upholds the universe by the word of his power. After making purification for sins, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.”
Our Savior, the man who was God in the flesh, the One who walked this earth with us, sits at the right hand of the Majesty on high.
It’s difficult to imagine any friend more powerful than that. We have a connection directly to God.
Breakout Power Verse No. 2:
Mark 16:17-18 tells us, “And these signs will accompany those who believe: in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with their hands; and if they drink any deadly poison, it will not hurt them; they will lay their hands on the sick, and they will recover.”
Serpents — evil people — surround us, and deadly poison — the vile attacks of those who would slander us — is rampant.
Our belief in the Christ is our protection against every bad thing that comes our way.
Breakout Power Verse No. 3:
Colossians 1:16 tells us, “For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him.”
We have power over what we create, and Jesus created all things. Get that in your thoughts. Our God, the friend who walked at our side, created all things.
In addition, all things were created for him. They are his to do with as he wishes.
Of course we have power, if we place our faith in Jesus. All power flows from him, and in him, we are walking in the light.
The light of this world is Jesus, and he wants to shine through us.
