Architect’s Commission

English Audio Version

Frank Lloyd Wright was America’s architect.

Wright designed over 1,000 buildings. More than half were completed during his lifetime.

He once famously said: I know the price of success: dedication, hard work, and an unremitting devotion to the things you want to see happen.

Wright understood something vital in the building process. If you want to build the best buildings possible, it’s essential to hire the best workers to bring it to completion.

It’s the reason he got paid so well for his architectural designs. He was a master in his field, and people could bring him ideas that only he could realize into a finished building.

Even Frank Lloyd Wright couldn’t execute a design that someone had dreamed if they never shared their vision.

Proverbs 16:3 says we face the same conundrum in our walk with Christ.

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.”

No matter how big our dream, wisdom advises against pulling out our hammer and banging away at the nearest tree.

We need to find an expert who knows how to cut the timbers, fasten the rafters, and create a sturdy structure that will stand the test of time.

God is our architect, and he’s the one that can bring our vision into full bloom. When we have his stamp of approval on what we hope to do, we can move ahead with confidence that we’ll complete what we start.

Our future isn’t secure until God signs off on the blueprints for our goals.
