Empowered by Christ

English Audio Version

We want to have our lives figured out, to be the wise decision-maker who follows the best path.

Our children will turn out to be charming and successful. We’ll have a well-padded retirement account when our golden years arrive. Our home will be in the best part of town.

To achieve our goal, what’s our best bet?

We can find wisdom, understanding, and the ability to achieve our success thorough our sincere faith in God.

Isaiah 11:2 tells us the benefits of trusting in our Lord.

“And the Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him, the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might, the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.”

It’s generally agreed that this verse (and the entire passage surrounding it) foretells the coming of Christ. When we choose salvation through Christ, we become one with him.

We receive the same spirit which infilled our Savior and King.

The power Jesus had to change his world becomes ours, and we no longer worry about this decision or that. God is at the helm, and he guides us through the myriad paths along life’s journey.

Each foot we place along our road is guided by the Father, and our success flows through him.

We are empowered by Christ when we invite him in to become part of who we are.

Excerpt of the Day

A promise to the devil can be laughed off when we have Jesus standing at our side. A promise from the devil is worthless, and should be laughed off even faster.
