Made by the Hand of God

In 2016, the Apple company fought for the right to own its product. The FBI tried to force Apple to unlock a terrorist’s iPhone. Both groups were locked in battle, at opposite ends of a polarizing argument.

Who owned the rights to the phone that Apple created?

Legal ownership can go by many different names. Copyright. Trademark. Deed. Patent. Trust. Trade Secret. They all say one thing: I created this. I own it. You can’t have it. If you try to take it, my fist of legal ownership will crush your efforts to abscond with something that’s not yours.

What about the things made by the hand of God? Does he own the copyright? Has he trademarked his product? Is the deed written in his name? Has he contacted the patent office, put it into a trust, and kept the details a trade secret?

Ezekiel 43:11 says:

“Make known to [the people] the design of the temple, its arrangement, its exits and its entrances, that is, its whole design…its statutes…and all its laws…, so that they may observe all its laws and all its statutes and carry them out.”

We have to understand God’s copyright, how his deeds are written, and the parameters of the trust he’s set up in our name. We must learn what’s God’s, because he doesn’t turn it loose easily. The idea of this verse is that God will dwell in what he has created. He owns it in its entirety. He will dwell in nothing else. Man may try to lay claim to God’s creation, using religion to relegate God to this or that, but God says, “No, I created it. I own the rights to dwell in that which I will choose.”

Apple vs. the FBI. In 2015, the Financial Times ranked Apple as the largest company in the world in all four quarters of that year. The FBI is the strong arm of the most powerful country in the world. The two became locked in a battle for control of an iPhone.

In this case, it boiled down to one thing: Who created what?

With regards to the God question, we can reference a document filed and substantiated across history and the world. It begins with Genesis 1:1:

“In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth.”

Give it up, Mankind. The gavel falls today, and the Court’s decision is rendered. All power, rights, and authority go unto the God of all creation, the great Jehovah, the Elohim, our El-Shaddai, Yahweh, and Adonai.

He created it, and it all belongs to him.

God formed mankind from the dust of the earth, and his desire is to dwell in that which he created.
