Bursting Forth in Joy

What’s got you wrapped up tight?

What’s the cocoon that has you blinded, the handcuffs that restrict your movement, the locked door that keeps you trapped?

What keeps you so down that you can’t even find a reason to face each day?

2 Corinthians 3:17 in the KJV gives us this wonderful word:

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”

You say you’ve given your heart to the Lord.

You say that you’re a Christian.

You say that you are a Christ-follower … and that means you have the Spirit of Christ living in you!!

Now go back and reread that verse. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, THERE IS LIBERTY!

Chuck off those wrappings! Break free from your cocoon! No more handcuffs or locked doors!

We know about butterflies, that as caterpillars they wrap themselves in webbing to form a cocoon. They are trapped, fully and totally. Yet, the cocoon is temporary, and when they emerge, they are among God’s most beautiful creatures.

You are that butterfly, and your darkness is about to shatter. You will burst forth in joy, and you will live a life of redemption in Christ our Lord.

Your time is now! Get ready for it!
