Your Life Returned unto You

English Audio Version

It’s easy to imagine our lives as a sinking ship.

We’re going under by the bow, and soon we’ll run out of room to keep our feet dry.

Now is not the time to give up. God says your rescue is on the way.

Your life that you already consider lost will be returned unto you.

Jeremiah 39:17-18 says:

“But I will deliver you on that day, declares the Lord, and you shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid. For I will surely save you, and you shall not fall by the sword, but you shall have your life as a prize of war, because you have put your trust in me, declares the Lord.”

This is a long passage, so let’s break it into six parts.

Part No. 1: “I will deliver you on that day.”

God will show up on time. We must continue to fight.

Part No. 2: “You shall not be given into the hand of the men of whom you are afraid.”

No matter how bad the situation seems, God will not let our abuser overcome us.

Part No. 3: “I will surely save you.”

God assures us his rescue is impending. Wait on it. Wait on it.

Part No. 4: “You shall not fall by the sword.”

As long as we stand by God, we are protected.

Part No. 5: “You shall have your life as a prize of war.”

Our victory trophy is us! We will stand tall as a testament to God’s love.

Part No. 6: “Because you have put your trust in me.”

When we stay the course, we never go off track. We earn our victory by sticking close to God.

The victory drums are beating now. God is coming over the ridge. We can see the flags waving. Your victory is about to explode all over you!

When God lifts you up, the world doesn’t have the power to tear you down.
