So, what could a sport shoe possibly have to do with living a Christian life?
Aren’t we supposed to be above all that “worldly” stuff?
Like, does the brand even matter? Our focus is to be on God and caring for the people around us.
That’s a very good point. However, finding our Adidas moment in Christ is vital to becoming the example our Lord needs us to be.
See, it comes down to the slogan.
Since 2013, the company’s slogan has been “Adidas Is All In.”
How many Christians can say that about their walk with Christ?
Colossians 3:17 says we have a standard to uphold.
“And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.”
All in. That’s the way God wants us to live.
Adidas’ most notable past slogan is even more applicable to our Christian walk: “Impossible Is Nothing.”
With Adidas on our feet, we erase the limits of our lives.
Luke 1:37 tells us:
“For with God nothing shall be impossible.”
That’s our Adidas moment in Jesus, our standard of excellence, the measuring stick we use to mark our progress in Christ.
The impossible is our starting place.
What have you been told you can’t do? What’s the dream you’ve put on hold? God says, “I don’t have plans for you to be stuck in the mud. Get all in to me, and your impossible will become a thing of your past.”
When we strap on Jesus, we become spiritual athletes for him.
