Some people are not morning people.
It’s built into their genetic code. They simply take longer to come alive than the rest of us.
Tell them to “buck up,” and this normally sweet person has no trouble telling you what to do with it.
Other people find their sour hours coming just after lunch, or even as the sun begins to set in the evenings.
God says his grace can sweeten even our toughest moments.
Here are 4 Measures of God’s Grace to carry you through.
Psalm 42:11 tells us God is our uplifting, and he is still in control.
“Why are you cast down, O my soul, and why are you in turmoil within me? Hope in God; for I shall again praise him, my salvation and my God.”
Psalm 73:26 is our assurance God will never fail us no matter how rough our circumstance.
“My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”
Psalm 91:10-11 says we are protected by God’s own angels.
“No evil shall be allowed to befall you, no plague come near your tent. For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways.”
Psalm 126:5-6 promises he will replace our tears with joy.
“Those who sow in tears shall reap with shouts of joy! He who goes out weeping, bearing the seed for sowing, shall come home with shouts of joy, bringing his sheaves with him.”
Having a bad morning? Toss it off. God is in control.
About that rough afternoon … that’s not all your life. God will lift you up.
Is your mood as dark as the coming night? God is your sunshine in every situation.
Look up. Your redemption is near. God’s grace smooths every wrinkle from your day.
When we belong to God, every part of our day can be a success.
