There’s a saying that behind every successful man is a good woman.
Oprah Winfrey says to think like a queen, because a queen isn’t afraid to fail.
Ayn Rand famously said, “The question isn’t who’s going to let me. It’s who’s going to stop me.”
The Bible says a woman is a magnificent and strong gift from the Lord. In the book of Proverbs, we discover the six strengths of a woman.
Proverbs 31:10 says she is precious in her excellence.
“An excellent wife who can find? She is far more precious than jewels.”
Proverbs 31:17 reveals her power in all she does.
“She dresses herself with strength and makes her arms strong.”
Proverbs 31:25 lifts her up in dignity and perseverance.
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.”
Proverbs 21:26 showcases her willing devotion.
“All day long he craves and craves, but the righteous [woman] gives and does not hold back.”
Proverbs 31:28-29 underscores the respect she deserves.
“Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: ‘Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.’ ”
Proverbs 31:31 tells us great glory will come her way.
“Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her works praise her in the gates.”
It’s true enough that behind every successful man is a good woman, but it’s more than that. Behind every successful family is a woman to be lifted in respect and praise. The woman is the core of her family, and her strength and devotion hold her family together.
Thank God for women, for their strength is a blessing from the Lord.
