Launch.
To spring from the place you are in with no control of where you will end.
More specifically, to be shot out of a cannon with no way to step back into self-doubt and regret.
That’s what the Father desires for you, for you to be launched into his perfect will for your life.
No what ifs, no dragging your feet, no looking over your shoulder at what you’re leaving behind.
Jeremiah 29:11 in the NIV tells us:
“‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’”
He knows where we will land. He has designed our beginning and our ending. He has his guidance system tied to our very self. We don’t need to worry about the target ahead. We know it will be a good place, a chosen spot, a perfection destination for what God has planned for us.
God has “plans to prosper us and not to harm us” (slightly paraphrased). Bumpy landing? Nah! Overheated reentry? Not a chance! Do we run a risk of crashing and burning? Not on your life! Reread the final part of that verse.
God has “plans to give you hope and a future.”
Hope, not devastation. Be encouraged, excited, filled with anticipation. Good things are coming your way. God has said so.
You have a future waiting on you, one chock-a-block with all the good things God has for you.
Quit dragging your feet with God. Jump into the cannon, let God light the fuse, and leap into the future that God wants for you.
This is your time. This is your day. Don’t let the things of this world hold you back.
The countdown has begun. Now is your time to fly in God.
