Guided by God

Daniel Branch at danielbranch.com relates this story:

A recent graduate in computer science struggled to pin down a job after graduation. Several weeks in on her job hunt, she attended an interview on a rainy day only to learn after the interview that the position was filled earlier in the day.

Depressed, she made her way to her car to discover the gas tank empty. Her only option was the city bus. At her stop, her tote fell to the floor. The man next to her helped her gather her things and asked if she had made a small porcelain craft item among her things.

She had.

It turned out he was with Tulia craft company and offered her a job. Now, she owns her own craft store. Her bad day turned out to be the best one of her life.

Philippians 4:6 says:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.”

God wants to lead you where you need to be. Sometimes, what’s obvious to him isn’t so clear to us. Sometimes it’s the rainy day that leads us to the option God has prepared for his children.

When we place our trust in God, every step we take will be guided by him.
