When something’s gone, it’s gone forever.
Right?
We can never go home again. Our youth is lost forever. That old car we remember and loved? It’s been in the junkyard for twenty years by now.
Then, we drop our keys, can’t find them, and what are we do to? They are lost forever, right?
Marilyn Kinsella of Canmore, Canada, had her painting supplies with her when she stepped forward to board her flight at the airport. She was dismayed when she had to give them all up.
Lost forever, right?
When Kinsella returned a week later, an attendant met her at the baggage area with her paints in hand. He’d noted her return date and made a point to be there for her.
Hebrews 11:1 opens the world of possibilities to us:
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”
What is lost can be returned. What we feel we’ve missed out on can become ours.
There’s no end to what God will do to ensure that we know his love and care for us.
