When the north wind shifts the day from steamy to CRISP, we relish the change in the air. We draw in a breath, and the world feels fresh and new.
God is just like that. When our days begin to suffocate us, we can trust in the Lord to sweep over us, changing our circumstances until they are fresh and new.
Let’s look at our CRISP God:
C – He CLEANSES us from the evil of this world.
1 John 1:7 tells of Christ’s blood and how it CLEANSES us from all sin. In him we are made fresh and new.
R – He RESTORES us to our original condition.
Psalm 23:3 reveals how he RESTORES our souls, bringing us back to a renewed condition.
I – His IMMORTAL hand supports us forever.
1 Timothy 1:17 exposes the true nature of God, who is eternal, IMMORTAL, invisible, and the only wise God.
S – He SANCTIFIES his creation unto the day when he will return.
1 Thessalonians 5:23 assures us he SANCTIFIES us wholly, for we are made fresh and new in him.
P – He PERMITS all good things in our lives.
Hebrews 6:3 underscores the totality of who God is, for he is the only one who PERMITS us to do all that we do.
When the winds of life seem to weigh us down, we can look forward to God’s new day coming. He will caress us with freshness, and his CRISP revitalization will invigorate us once again.
God sees our circumstances, and he knows just when we need a change.
