A British YouTube host with numerous exotic cars in his massive garage took his Ferrari Testarossa, worth well over a hundred grand, on a road trip to the Sahara.
The Ferrari was in excellent repair, but it was a 20-year-old car. The miles were low, but 20 years is 20 years, especially when driving an exotic supercar.
The Ferrari survived the ferry passage to Morocco without incident, but once in the North African expanses of heat and dust, the situation became less than ideal.
The host noted in one clip, as he stood beside his car with the electronic innards dismantled and strewn about, “Brits tend to forget that there are places in the world without emergency rescue services a phone call away.”
The host finally found the cause of his dead Ferrari, and before nightfall, he was on the road once more.
As Christians, we never have to worry that we can’t reach our emergency rescue service.
Psalm 22:19 gives us David’s phone call to heaven.
“But you, O Lord, do not be far off! O you my help, come quickly to my aid!”
Morocco? Bah, God will be there when we call.
Dusty roads filled with potholes and stones? No big deal. We serve a mighty God who is at the ready.
Heat and desperation? Get on out. We are rescued in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ!
We are that Ferrari, created in excellence, and ready for the road. We will break down from time to time, but unlike that YouTube host, we have a repair service at the ready.
Jesus will be there for us every time.
Jesus is our rescue, no matter what troubles leave us stranded on the side of life’s road.
