Placing our faith in a good God is a large part of what makes our Christian walk pleasurable. With the church-bashing that seems to consume so much of our nation’s media, it’s important to refresh our minds with the good things of God.
God is our delight in Psalm 37:4-5:
“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.”
We are able to trust him completely in Proverbs 3:5-6:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.”
We can call on him, and he will answer in Jeremiah 33:3:
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.”
We are enabled in all ways though the strength of Christ in Philippians 4:13:
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Our God is a good God, and he will be there for us. The world will try to separate us from the Father, but when we immerse ourselves in the Word, we’ll be lifted up, spirit and soul, into continual communion with our Lord.
God is our delight, and we can trust in him completely, for the Bible tells us so.
