Bulking up is a sports concept.
Muscles, that sort of thing. Increasing our strength so that we can do amazing things that few others can.
Here’s how it’s done in the sports world:
- Eat the right foods, from protein to carbs and fats, to vegetables filled with vitamins and minerals.
- Get on an exercise plan. Work your muscles—hard.
- Research the best supplements to increase your performance in the gym, then consume them regularly.
Now that we understand bulking up in the sports context, let’s see what the Word has to say about spiritual bulking up.
Ephesians 6:10 tells us:
“Finally, be strengthened by the Lord and his powerful strength.”
Here’s how it’s done in the spiritual world:
- Spend your time in the Word. Read your Bible, from Genesis to Revelation, and everything in between.
- Create a prayer plan. Stay in tune with God—every day.
- Find the best spiritual teachers you can to supplement your knowledge of God’s path for your life, then practice what they teach you.
God wants you to be a mighty Christian, a winner, a champion for the kingdom. That will only happen if you are strong in your spiritual beliefs and commitments.
Crack your Bible today. Get on your knees. Spend time with Christian mentors who can guide you and keep you on the straight and narrow path to Heaven.
Christ calls, and the Lord will provide the strength and power to be amazing all along life’s journey.
