The Good Soil

How’s your attitude?

You know, the one that says, “Nah, not me. Ask someone else.”

Yeah, that attitude.

God says, “Get with the program! Put your hand on the plow! I’ve got stuff to get done, a plan to accomplish, goals already laid out in my Word.”

It’s our attitude that makes all the difference.

Matthew 13:23 explains:

“As for what was sown on good soil, this is the one who hears the word and understands it. He indeed bears fruit and yields, in one case a hundredfold, in another sixty, and another thirty.”

Are you reading this the way God intended it? The way he wrote it? Here’s what he wants you to know:

Are you good soil?

Or do you have a “not me” attitude when it comes to teaching a Sunday school class, collecting the offering, greeting visitors on Sunday morning, inviting the pastor out to lunch … ouch, this is getting real, isn’t it?

Thirty, sixty, a hundredfold, that can be you!

It’s all in your attitude. Let’s reach out to God and say, “Sure, God. Thanks for asking me. I’m all in.”

Then get out and do things for the Lord!
