Outmatched by a Good Man

English Audio Version

It feels like the deceitful politician or businessman gets ahead.

If they can pull the wool over enough people’s eyes, all the good things are theirs for the taking.

Wipe your e-mail server? Ache, appoint me Secretary of State.

Tweet incorrect facts? Call it an alternate truth.

Advertise a product as reliable, ignoring the safety recalls? I’m not the responsible party.

Advance in office by casting your supporters under the bus? Hey, please focus on the good parts of my campaign. The bad stuff is fake news, anyway.

What has happened to the good man we want in power over us?

Profits don't stand up as a justification for our actions.

Exodus 23:1 gives us good advice:

“You shall not spread a false report. You shall not join hands with a wicked man to be a malicious witness.”

God’s not mincing his words here. No hem and haw, not a mention of backfilling, beating around the bush, begging the question, or giving us the shilly-shally.

God says don’t do it. As in, stop! No more false reports. If someone is known to tell untruths, hands off, back away, take a hike, Mike.

We can’t equivocate when it comes to the truth.

Passing the buck no longer works for the Christian.

We must get off the fence and proclaim the truth of the Father. No more runarounds, weaseling, or telling white lies.

It’s over. It’s done with. If we blow hot and cold, God will cast us off and our salvation will be in peril.

Live by God’s standard. The Father will lift us up before all men.

God’s truth is never underrated.
