Here are 11 Reasons to Keep Your Ego in Check from the Word of  God.

Reason No. 1:

Matthew 5:5 says:

“Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.”

Reason No. 2:

Psalm 149:4 tells us:

“For the Lord takes pleasure in his people; he adorns the humble with salvation.”

Reason No. 3:

Isaiah 11:4 proposes:

“But with righteousness he shall judge the poor, and decide with equity for the meek of the earth …”

Reason No. 4:

Psalm 22:26 promises:

“The afflicted shall eat and be satisfied; those who seek him shall praise the Lord! May your hearts live forever!”

Reason No. 5:

Isaiah 29:19 offers:

“The meek shall obtain fresh joy in the Lord, and the poor among mankind shall exult in the Holy One of Israel.”

Reason No. 6:

1 Peter 3:4 says:

“But let your adorning be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God's sight is very precious.”

Our ego can never come first. We must always let Jesus take first place.
