3 Excuses We Can’t Use

English Audio Version

Catastrophic health incidents?

Quit whining. God’s got you covered.

Lost loved ones?

Shuck the blame. God is the lighthouse to draw them home.

An abundant share of difficult situations?

Crack your knuckles and get moving. God is at your side through each one.

We can keep afloat, not because of what we can do, but due to our faith in Christ. When our strength is used up, God empowers us to move forward once again.

When our faith and trust is in him, he will answer our prayers and grant us peace.

We have no excuse for looking like we sucked on a dill pickle, so quit feeling sorry for your situation and use your faith to get past it.

Our First Useless Excuse:

God’s not around when I need him.

Not true. God is with you when you choose to look for him. It’s called faith for a reason. Check out Hebrews 11:1.

“Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

Our Second Useless Excuse:

God can’t fix my bad situation.

Who told you that? God is the creator of all things. He is greater than your situation. Read Psalm 46:10.

“Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth!”

Our Third Useless Excuse:

I have trouble thinking I could be a bad person. Why do I need God?

Pull off your blinders. Every man, woman, or child is born into sin, and Jesus came to wipe our slate clean and give us a new start. Get the facts in John 8:24.

“I told you that you would die in your sins, for unless you believe that I am he you will die in your sins.”

Let’s step up to God. Let’s chuck the excuses. God is our champion, and through our faith in him, his promises to us will come to pass.

We are truly successful when we find our success in Christ.
