Education counts.
We hear it all the time. College graduates earn more over the course of a lifetime than those with high school diplomas.
We want the best degree we can get, so that we can maximize our efforts in life. It’s the way to become the best we can be and to have the most outstanding life possible.
Our spiritual degree comes from the Father above.
Psalm 32:8 reminds us to look to him for our increase in knowledge and advice on our path through the pitfalls of life.
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my eye upon you.”
Let’s sign up for God 101, our starter course in our spiritual education. We call it a Bible study. We participate with fellow believers, and we increase our knowledge of our Lord.
Education does count, especially in spiritual matters. The more we understand about the nature of our heavenly Father, the better we’ll understand how to model our lives after the nature of Jesus.
Our devotion to Christ comes best through our knowledge of him.
