The Spirit Abides in Us

Salvation is only the beginning.

We find our way to heaven through accepting Christ. However, if we want to live in the fullness of Christ’s redemptive plan, we must take a second step with our Lord.

The Holy Spirit is part of the Godhead, consisting of one-in-three: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. All are individuals, and in a mystery we can’t understand, all are one.

When we’re filled with the Spirit, we can walk closer to the Lord, and we’ll find it easier to conform to the example Christ set for us.

Acts 2:1-4 says the Holy Spirit infills all who desire him.

“When the day of Pentecost arrived, they were all together in one place. And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting. And divided tongues as of fire appeared to them and rested on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit gave them utterance.”

Revelation 4:2-3 tells us God speaks to us through the Spirit, revealing the things of heaven and earth which cannot be known any other way.

“At once I was in the Spirit, and behold, a throne stood in heaven, with one seated on the throne. And he who sat there had the appearance of jasper and carnelian, and around the throne was a rainbow that had the appearance of an emerald.”

Revelation 4:11 is our reason for praising our Lord in Spirit, as well as in truth.

“Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for you created all things, and by your will they existed and were created.”

Nothing in creation came into existence without the express permission of our Lord.

When we use his creation as he intended, every portion of it has a purpose.

The Holy Spirit is our guide to a successful life in Jesus. When we accept the Spirit as our guide, we elevate our Christian walk to an extraordinary level.

Our life in Christ is fulfilled when we open our heart and let the Spirit dwell within.
