List the things you love.
Right now. On a napkin, on your hand, anywhere you can.
Your list might include your children, your favorite dress, or even the chocolate mousse you enjoyed at the restaurant last night.
Now that you have your list assembled, let’s see if this one thing is included: God.
As in Jehovah, Jesus, the Spirit, the Great I Am, El Shaddai, or Elohim.
Maybe you included God in one of these: Sunday school, the Bible, prayer time, or your pastor.
The important thing is whether God made your list.
Psalm 7:17 tells us:
“I will give to the Lord the thanks due to his righteousness, and I will sing praise to the name of the Lord, the Most High.”
Here are 5 praise starters to get you going:
1. God My Deliverer (Psalm 70:5)
2. God the Almighty (Psalm 89:8)
3. God of Love (1 John 4:16)
4. The Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6)
5. The Creator of All Things (Nehemiah 9:6)
So, get started! On the way to work, while you are making lunch, even when you are picking up supplies at the grocery store.
Take time out to praise the Creator of all that is, all that was, and all that will ever be.
As we lift our voices to God, he responds to us with his eternal love.
