Our ALIVE God

Spring is a time when new life bursts from the ground. Trees that have been mere sticks blaze forth with green, and barren brown earth transforms into a carpet that shimmers with flowers.

How like our God! When the trials of life try to kill everything that is good and pleasant, and our days feel brown and dead, God returns the brilliance of life back to our days.

Let’s look at our ALIVE God:

A – We are ALIVE through the protecting hand of the Father.

In Genesis 6:19, Moses is instructed to take two of every animal into the ark, and God’s hand will keep them ALIVE!

That is what God does for us. He watches over us, giving us life.

L – We are LOVED above all other creatures on the earth.

In Genesis 29:18, Jacob LOVED Rachel so much that he offered to serve Laban seven years for her hand.

God loves us so much that he sent his son to die for us.

I – We are created in the IMAGE of the one who made us.

In Genesis 1:26, after God had created everything else he desired, he decided to create man in his own IMAGE, giving him dominion over all things.

We were made to be companions to God, and he still draws us to him.

V – God has a VICTORY for us to share.

In 2 Samuel 23:10, Jehovah brought about a great VICTORY, and the people gathered the spoils of war for their own.

In God, we are victorious against the world, and we are overcomers in his name.

E – God patiently waits that we might come to ETERNAL LIFE.

In 1 Timothy 1:16, we read that we are the worst of sinners, but Jesus is patient that he might shower ETERNAL LIFE on those who believe in him.

God gave his son that we might spend eternity with him.

When we turn from our sinful ways, we will find life in Jesus. That which was dead will be alive. That which was brown will turn green. That which was bare will flower anew.

We will find our ALIVE God, for he loves us, and waits for us to come to him.

Our God is ALIVE, and he rains life on us through his son, Jesus Christ. All we have to do is reach out our arms and be ready for the downpour.

Excerpt of the Day

We already know the end of the story. Jesus rules, and the devil drools.
