9 Words of Revelation for Men

English Audio Version

Ralph Waldo Emerson famously said, “We acquire the strength we have become.”

Mahatma Gandhi said, “Strength does not come from physical capacity. It comes from indomitable will.”

Seneca, 17th century philosopher, said, “Fire is the test of gold; adversity of strong men.”

What do these sayings mean to modern husbands and fathers?

You can become a true man of God as husband to your wife and father to your children.

You don’t have to come by it naturally. You can become what God needs you to be.

Here are 9 Words of Revelation that will start you on your path to a better and stronger you.

Proverbs 23:24 says our children are our joy.

“The father of the righteous will greatly rejoice; he who fathers a wise son will be glad in him.”

Colossians 3:21 encourages us to respect those under our care.

“Fathers, do not provoke your children, lest they become discouraged.”

Ephesians 5:25 places wives high on our list of priorities.

“Husbands, love your wives, as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her.”

Colossians 3:19 says to treat our spouse kindly.

“Husbands, love your wives, and do not be harsh with them.”

Genesis 2:24 clarifies where our duty lies.

“Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.”

Proverbs 5:18 paints faithfulness as vital to a long relationship.

“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth.”

Proverbs 19:14 envisions our spouse as a gift from God.

“House and wealth are inherited from fathers, but a prudent wife is from the Lord.”

Proverbs 20:7 sets up our example before our children.

“The righteous who walks in his integrity—blessed are his children after him!”

Ephesians 5:33 encourages us to give 100 percent in our relationship.

“However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband.”

Men, we become the husband and father we desire to be. We will it into being with the help of our almighty God. It is through Christ that we are changed into the men we need to be.

Jesus is our guide, and through him, we can become mighty men of God.
