“If you don’t know what to do, then it may be time for you to find yourself a role model.”
(1 Timothy 4:12 ESV)
Let no one despise you for your youth, but set the believers an example in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, in purity.
Role models come in all sizes and shapes.
There’s no age requirement, gender entitlement, or admonition that a role model must be financially wealthy.
Instead, find people who are good at what you want to do. Search out those who’ve become successful in your desired field. Strike up friendships. Hang out with them.
Learn from them.
Your role model may come in the form of a friend, a parent, an uncle or aunt, or a grandparent. Perhaps it’s someone at work, even your boss. You can find them at the gym, shopping in the grocery store, or standing behind the pulpit on Sunday morning.
What do you look for in your role model? Clean speech, admirable conduct, and high standards in love, faith, and purity.
