“Conflict is not always the answer.”
A soft answer turns away wrath, but a harsh word stirs up anger.
(Proverbs 15:1)
A fist sometimes feels good.
We want to take action, and we want our frustration resolved now.
At any cost.
Yet the way of the Lord is the gentle word, the softly spoken correction, and the Word of peace. It’s the whisper in the time of conflict that will make a difference in how we operate in our efforts to get ahead.
When we speak with the Lord’s authority, we draw others unto us. When we lash out with man’s authority, people are offended, and they become angry.
“A soft answer turns away wrath.” It’s not always the easiest way, but it’s certainly the best way. Remember this with your family, your co-workers and with people you’ve just met.
