Finding Time for Christ

―  Also find us at www.MyChurchNotes.com  ―

We love to joke about procrastinators.

Yet we all do it, in some form or another. Diddle-daddle, squawky-tattle; who’s going to get the job done?

Maybe it’s the lake house that needs new screens, and we’re having too much fun on the boat to bother. Or we ignore our waning investments, hoping they’ll turn around. Or our children. We can’t find time for them when they’re small, and when they’re grown, we realize it’s too late.

Psalm 119:60 gives us the better option:

“I made haste, and delayed not to keep your commandments.”

We know of the Golden Rule. It governs our relationships with others. Psalm 119:60 is our Success Rule. When we apply this principle to our lives, we’ll find success across every part of our day.

How do we apply the Success Rule? It’s easy, although it does take some of our time. We pay attention, we get involved, and we stay active in the things around us. We turn off the TV, hang up the phone, and let digital media cool its heels. Instead, we make a list, attend our children’s sports events, and jump back into church every chance we get.

Yes, church. When we’re involved in the church, we’re finding time for Christ. When we find time for him, we can be assured he’ll find time for us.

Christ needs our feet, not our seat, to be active for him.

Excerpt of the Day

A promise to the devil can be laughed off when we have Jesus standing at our side. A promise from the devil is worthless, and should be laughed off even faster.
