Out of Time to Turn to God

So, what day of the month does your paycheck arrive?

You don’t even have to think about it. You know, almost to the minute when it hits your hand (or your bank account).

Or the day your electricity bill is due. Or your taxes have to be filed … things concerning money tend to be important to us.

We don’t want to get up in the morning and find ourselves in the dark, only to be reminded that our due date has come and gone. By then, we’re out of time to make the payment, and we’ve had our power disconnected.

The reconnection fee is sometimes more than simply paying the bill would have been.

What about paying God … in time, prayer, finances, or worship? Can we be disconnected from the LORD?

Is there a moment when time runs out to turn to God? The obvious answer is when death closes our eyes for the final time. Until then, we’re never out of time to turn to God, no matter how disruptive life becomes.

Psalm 34:19 tells us:

“The righteous person may have many troubles, but the LORD delivers him from them all;”

Even if we’re righteous … we will have troubles, but here’s the crux of this verse: The Lord delivers us from them all.

Not some, not the ones that are in the spirit world, not the ones we had nothing to do with … ALL OF THEM.

We’ve yelled at our neighbor, and they’ve brought a lawsuit against us? That’s of our own making, yet THE LORD DELIVERS US FROM THEM ALL.

The time we were on our phone and bumped another car? THE LORD DELIVERS US.

The breach with our loved one that brings us down … THE LORD DELIVERS US!

You’re never out of time to turn to God, so reach out to him today. He wants to deliver you NOW.

Excerpt of the Day

When we're looking ahead, we'll no longer be able to see the troubles we've let roll off our shoulders.
