So, you were marginalized as a teen. Your needs, wants, and desires were brushed aside in someone’s efforts to use you for their purposes.
Your efforts to ensure your company’s success were stolen by your coworker, and they received the promotion that should have been yours.
Your spouse can’t be bothered to give you equal time, say, and participation in your family.
Your kids see you as a doormat, no more than a credit card and a springboard to a life they don’t want you to participate in.
You feel worthless, as though you could disappear, and no one would notice.
God says, “NOT SO!”
Read in Matthew 10:29-31:
“Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.”
God sees the teenage you. He knows what you endured, and he places a great value on your life and experiences.
The work you put into your company … God will be your reward, for he was there with you in every moment of your struggle and disappointment.
In your marriage, in your family, in your darkest times, God lifts you up and finds value in YOU. In every moment of every day, every thought of despair, every struggle that challenges your feelings of self-worth, God wants you to know that he values YOU.
Place your hand in God’s. Find your value in him. Let him be your strength, and he will reveal the value he sees in you.
