So, your ceilings are getting lower every day.
You’ve been passed over for that promotion … again and again.
What is it now, your third spouse?
How about your investment schemes … you never can seem to pick a successful one.
What’s up, God? We’re trying to live by your Word.
Apply the brakes, Hoss. Ain’t no hot air balloon out there that hasn’t faced a traffic light or two.
Sure, those are mixed metaphors, but they illustrate the point. Being human ensures we will bump into roadblocks along life’s journey.
Read in Philippians 4:12-13:
“I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret of facing plenty and hunger, abundance and need. I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Paul was brought low. He faced hunger and need. That wasn’t the end of what he became. Those things were only the potholes in the pavement. Paul saw the truth even in the hard times.
Christ is our strength, and through the Savior, every speed bump becomes a launching pad to greater things. So, get ready. It’s coming. You are about to soar to greater heights than ever before.
God is your success when you live close to him.
