A wonderful quote from one of America’s top inspirational authors showed up on the website BrainyQuote.com.
“If you can imagine it, you can achieve it. If you can dream it, you can become it.”
William A. Ward wrote those words. Mr. Ward died in 1994, but his inspiration lives on in his timeless and encouraging words that lifted the hopes and lives of millions.
God’s Word is filled with verses that can lift us equally high. They speak to us from across the Bible, from every book, and from every author.
Proverbs 3:5 gives us hope in a world that often doesn’t make sense:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”
Job 31:15 looks to God as our source of life, health, and sustenance:
“Did not he who made me in the womb make him? And did not one fashion us in the womb?”
Isaiah 44:24 paints the true majesty of our Father God:
“Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, who formed you from the womb: ‘I am the Lord, who made all things, who alone stretched out the heavens, who spread out the earth by myself.’ ”
Matthew 18:10 describes the beauty and inspiration we can find in our children:
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.”
Romans 5:1 assures us Jesus can step in and make sense of our lives:
“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Matthew 1:23 is the hope upon which our salvation is built:
“Behold, the virgin shall conceive and bear a son, and they shall call his name Immanuel.”
Mr. Ward inspired millions who were looking to be lifted up. Christ has inspired billions who will be lifted up. It’s a plan that was conceived in the mind of God, the greatest ever imagined. In the day of his coming, those who believe on the cross will rise to meet our Savior in the air and spend eternity with him.
When we want to think big, let’s think God. We can’t get bigger than that.
