Under Texas law, anyone who enters a private home without express permission and who poses a dire threat to those inside loses all rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
Yes, all rights. The homeowner is allowed to take whatever steps necessary to protect everyone who resides under his roof, even if that means using deadly force against the intruder.
We should all live in a spiritual Texas, a place where the devil steps one foot in the door, and we take whatever action is necessary to defend our loved ones, even if it means we resort to deadly force.
Exodus 22:2 makes it clear that we are not to give the thief in the night any quarter at all. The Word tells us that if a man breaks into our house, and he is killed, then we are not to mourn his death.
The devil is that thief. He is insidious, for he comes in the deepest hour of the night. When we think we are safe, and we rest at our ease, that is when he poses the direst of threats to us. He places thoughts in our minds, ones that seem innocent enough at first, and then begin to turn us from the Lord’s work. He drives a wedge in our relationships, and our family is fractured before we see it coming. He is the wind that feels pleasant when it begins to blow, but that turns into the gale that rips our life apart.
It is time to break out the Smith and Wesson, for if the devil is not destroyed, then he will devastate us and all that we love. We must live in a spiritual Texas, where the deadly intruder that would rip our home to shreds isn’t gently shown the door. Instead he must be pulverized with the fierce blast of a weapon he cannot resist.
Our Smith and Wesson is the Word of the Lord. When we defend our home against the attack of the devil, using the Word of God, we keep safe the most precious thing we own.
Our home and family.
The Bible is the only weapon we can trust. When we wield its power, even the devil must fall to his knees.
