Some things need to explode to get the job done.
And I’m not talking about military ordnance of the destructive sort.
I mean good things, beneficial things, events and situations that we want to explode all over us.
Example No. 1:
For example, the Dynamite Tree. As its fruit ripens, it literally explodes, and in the process scatters its seeds far and wide.
Example No. 2:
Or the Touch-Me-Not Impatiens. They self-seed with popping pods. Boom, and they are ready to grow in a brand-new location where they can get sun and nutrients unobstructed by the parent plant.
Example No. 3:
Then there’s the Squirting Cucumber. It can use its seed-firing machine gun to colonize huge empires. It’s also called a touch-me-not when translated from its native name of “noli me tangere.”
God’s Word says that’s how he works his goodness on the earth:
For as the earth brings forth its bud,
As the garden causes the things that are sown in it to spring forth,
So the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations.
This verse from Isaiah 61:11 opens our eyes to truth we can’t afford to overlook. God’s righteousness and praise will spring forth before all nations.
Truth No. 1:
In the natural, winter brings the appearance of death to the landscape. Yet, out of death comes life. Each spring, with the warming wind and longer days, the soil comes to life, and the seedlings begin to show their faces.
Truth No. 2:
That’s God’s righteousness and praise. Among the nations, things appear spiritually dead. Yet, after winter comes spring. The warming winds of God’s grace come upon the land. The soil of his people comes to life. Righteousness and praise begin to show their faces, and God’s presence is proclaimed once more across the land.
Truth No. 3:
God is about to spread an explosion of goodness across the earth. His righteousness and praise will literally explode, self-seed, and fire its spores to colonize new believers far and wide.
Now is God’s time. Be ready, for it’s already on the way!
