Armed to Overcome

Three things count in battle.

1. Experience

2. Armor

3. Good Leadership

Our Christian life is a battle, one fought against the devil and his desire to take us down with him.

Here are three verses that assure us that we are armed to overcome.

Verse No. 1:

“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; when I fall, I will arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” (Micah 7:8)

Experience teaches us that staying down is not an option in battle. We must get up and fight again.

Verse No. 2:

“Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.” (Philippians 1:6)

We wear armor in the protection of Our Lord, and it encases us in every situation. We are not left alone when we battle at his side.

Verse No. 3:

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.” (Jeremiah 29:11)

Our Father in Heaven directs us forward, and his leadership will guide us down the path that takes us to victory.

So, fight on, Christian soldier. Wrap your fists in the testaments of the saints, walk with the boots of righteous fervor, and carry the munitions of love and understanding strapped to your back.

You will be a success, for you are loved by the Master of All Creation who walks at your side.
