3 Steps to a Better Tomorrow

English Audio Version

Life can batter us.

The bills come due. Our spouse decides to walk out. Our children abandon us when we need them most.

The world turns black, and we can’t face another day.

We feel alone, that there’s no one on our side, and there’s no reason to go on.

God says WAIT!

There is something on the other side of the drama hemming us in.

God offers his hand to us. He wants to provide us with rest and the light of his promise.

God lifts us up when we can’t climb out of the morass that tries to swallow us.

The Word offers us 3 Steps to a Better Tomorrow.

Philippians 4:8 gives us our first step towards a positive change in our lives.

“Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.”

Deuteronomy assures us we always have God at our side.

“It is the Lord who goes before you. He will be with you; he will not leave you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.”

Psalm 34:17 is our victory call, our sign that our rescue is nigh.

“When the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles.”

At times we think it would be easier if God simply removed our problems. Then we could get on with a happy life lived in service to him. That’s not how it works. God is with us through the problems. He stands by our side, and his strength becomes ours.

Here are our 3 Steps to a Better Tomorrow in a nutshell.

  • We only think on positive things.
  • We trust God to be with us.
  • We turn to God in our time of need.

When we get these down, our outlook on life will begin to change. The problems might still be there, but their importance in our lives will begin to fade. God will take precedence, the good things around us will become more visible, and we’ll wake up with a greater sense of well-being than before.

Our improvement always starts with God. Let’s look to him today.
