Every believer has those days when we need a power shot of Jesus.
We need reassurance that we are loved, that the message is still true, and that we stand on a firm rock.
Here are 3 promises that every Christian can hold to as an anchor in the storm of life.
Love Promise #1:
“That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” (Romans 10:9-10)
Our salvation is the foundation of our faith in Jesus. What we confess becomes our truth and our salvation through Christ.
Love Promise #2:
“But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)
The sacrifice of the cross was ours before we were born. This is the proof of God’s love for us.
Love Promise #3:
“As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.” (Psalm 103:12)
Forgotten, forgotten, forgotten. Our previous life is cast to the other side of the sea, and our wrongdoings no longer hang over our heads.
Write these down. Print them out. Carry them with you. Remind yourself daily that you are loved, loved, and loved some more. Jesus is your champion, and he desires to wrap you in his love and protection in everything you do.
