It’s easy to say we don’t deserve more.
A spouse when we’re nearing thirty? We’ve already thrown up our hands in despair.
That business opportunity we missed? Maybe it wasn’t for us.
Higher education? We weren’t destined for a master’s degree, were we?
Well-behaved children. A dutiful spouse. A regular paycheck. I mean, if God wanted to give it to us, he would have done it by now, right?
God doesn’t do things by halves. He doesn’t do small portions. He doesn’t place himself halfway into the situation, then decide to get cold feet.
Acts 2:41 tells of a great adventure.
“So those who received his word were baptized, and there were added that day about three thousand souls.”
How about that? Do you have three thousand people in your church? Three thousand dollars in your pocket?
Nutritionists don’t even recommend we eat three thousand calories in a day. It’s simply too much for our body to absorb without storing away some of it.
Yet, that day, three thousand people were added to the kingdom. How fantastic is that?
Your spouse is on the way.
God has business opportunities out there waiting on you.
You can go back to school, change your life, and live better than before.
That’s God’s way. He thinks big, and he wants us right at his side the entire way.
God’s opportunities become ours when we walk with him.
