Only Reasonable

English Audio Version

Paul, the word-master, the man who penned much of the New Testament, was good at this-or-that.

He could reason out “if this” and segue into a “then that” with no trouble at all.

He was using good science to create good theology.

If this, then that. If we take an established declaration, we can create an assumption that is reasonable and valid. Hypothesis and conclusion, in scientific terms. Variable and consequence if we’re into math.

In Romans 8:32, Paul gives us this masterful if-then proposal:

“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him graciously give us all things?”

What do you need from God? What’s the empty place in your life that he needs to fill with his presence and power?

He will meet that need. Just check out Paul’s scientific application of scriptural truth. The logic behind his reasoning is unassailable.

Let’s get on board with God. He’s there for us, or as we would say in modern terms, the Big Man has our back, and we don’t have to worry that he’ll someday let us down.

He gave us Jesus, didn’t he? If God was willing to let his Son live among us, knowing that he would die a painful death on the cross, by Paul’s reasoning, your financial need, your health concerns, your crushing emotional stress is something he is up for.

Place your trust in God. It’s the reasonable thing to do.

We already know the end of the story. Jesus rules, and the devil drools.
