Two Steps to Christian Excellence

English Audio Version

Accepting Christ is easy.

Yes, easy, just as the Bible tells us.

There are only three things we must do.

A. We must believe.

That’s where it starts. We become convinced Jesus came and died for our sins and rose again.

B. We must ask.

This part falls on us. We must choose to ask Jesus to forgive our wrongdoing, our sin.

C. We must receive.

This is the fun part, when the purity of Christ’s forgiveness floods us, and we feel clean and new.

Yet, we’re not done. There’s more to Christianity than accepting our Lord as our savior.

Jesus wants us to rise to excellence in him.

We can unearth our two steps to excellence in Acts 1:8:

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”

Our 1st Step  to Christian Excellence:

We will receive power! It comes with our Christian walk, if we choose to reach out and take it!

Our 2nd Step  to Christian Excellence:

We will become witnesses unto all the earth! That’s who we become as dedicated followers of Jesus!

There it is, ready for us to reach out and grab. If we believe  we can be excellent in our Christian walk, and we ask  for the infilling of the Holy Spirit, we will receive  power to witness unto all the earth.

All the earth! From our hometown (Jerusalem), to our place of employment (Judea), our friends (Samaria), and to everyone we meet as we walk through life (the end of the earth).

Are your bones vibrating with excitement?

Does your spine tingle, yet?

Are you ready to shout with the power of our almighty God?

Glory and halleluiah! God is in our midst today!

What does our promised excellence hinge upon? Let’s go back to Acts 1:8.

“You will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you.”

That’s when our real Christian excellence begins to shine. That’s when we can complete the divine mission of Jesus to go unto all the world and become a witness for him.

The excellence of Christ becomes ours when we choose him.
